And here is my first hognose, just a normal conda. He is almost 6 months old. His name is S’more. He is more sassy than Chilly… a lot more sassy! haha

MINE TOO! LOL he got himself a little wet and inched himself all the way up the glass and into the electrical box in the top of the cage. Thank goodness he is ok!

This is my buddy, Trevor. He’s a very sweet 5 year old wild type, who’s het for permafrost.

Here’s my new and first boy! Four months old and two weeks home. He’s an arctic and is delightful so far! I’ve been calling him Ribs, short for Ribeye because I thought the play on snake and steak was too funny to pass up.

I love him!

I really love tricolour hogs. The gorgeous colours of a milk snake with the adorable face of a hognose. What’s not to love? :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Here are some really old pictures of a Eastern hognose I caught in my backyard. I keeped him for about a week then let him go. He was a cool little dude. But I knew he was better off in the wild.

So much drama from such a little snake!

Sorry for the bad lighting because this was taken well after the enclosure lighting was turned off, but I moved my hognoses out of their bins and into exo terras today and I just cannot stop staring at them. It feels so rewarding to see these adorable little creatures I’ve been raising for well over a year now move from their cramped little boxes into fully fledged enclosures with lighting, space, and tons of opportunities for the hoggies to roam around.

May be a dumb question, but what substrate are you using?

Aspen repti-chips. I switched from aspen fiber a while ago and I’ve found it’s much easier to clean while still keeping a similar look and allowing them to burrow.

Hello, everyone.
A few months ago, I discovered the ridiculously adorable western hognose, and I instantly fell in love. Today, I received my first two baby noodles — Romeo and Juliet. (They say, “hi.”)
Regards,
Chris
