Well your first snake should be a corn! When you get one!
100% agreed!
And the last baby is officially out! Pandemonium, little female lava tessera.
Unfortunately, earlier today I was setting up one of the babies in my baby rack and set them inside an empty bin while I got theirs ready. I came back a little while later and the baby was gone from the empty bin. I immediately started pulling everything out of that area and found a baby hiding between some stacked loose lids. Phew! And then I realized that was a different baby! Oh no. The backing behind the lowest row of bins in my rack apparently came a little ways away from the rack, which means that when I push the bins all the way in, they go slightly too far back and create a tiny gap. I went through that row of bins and all 5 babies were missing. Ugh. So I started pulling out all of the various snake items I have stored in that area and going through them. I recovered 3 of the 5 babies pretty quickly, but 2 are still on the loose somewhere. So for now, I set up some hides against the walls in that area and shoved a towel under the door so hopefully they won’t be able to leave that room (and hopefully they haven’t already!) I need to pull the rack away from the wall still, but some of the babies in the rack just ate yesterday, so I don’t want to cause any regurges by jostling the whole thing just yet.
Oh dear, what a mess! I guess it’s both a positive and negative, as while you might have two missing, if the one hadn’t disappeared, you’d not have realized the rack issue as quickly. Hopefully the other two pop back up sooner rather than later. I’m sorry you’re having such a stressful end to this round of hatching.
Oh no Olivia! I know that has got to be devastating! I am so hoping the little escapees resurface! ![]()

It’s gonna be a corn or a boa lol. Both are so cool.
Found one of the babies this morning, so just one left to find!
I’ll hold you to that!
Yay one found and one to go!
Gosh and golly, what a stressor! I’m so glad that most of the little ones have been recovered. I hope that the final escapee is tracked down Professor Marvel’s predicted time.
Took some nice photos of the little kinked sunkissed lava, Oboe. He’s doing really well, eating, pooping, exploring. I’m amazed that you can’t even see any kinks in photos, but I can feel a few. And one is visible from certain angles.
Such pretty eyes. Good to hear that the little guy is snaking well, despite his challenges. He will surely be a good pet for someone.
Gorgeous. I want to keep or buy every sunkissed.
A couple more sheds, Hemlock and Belladonna. I think Belladonna is the nicest one in this small clutch. I just love her pattern and color. Unfortunately, I did discover that she has one minor kink, which is such a bummer.
They’re really gorgeous. I think Hemlock and Belladonna have spectacular patterns. Grimace is a wonderful Motley, too. Polka dots. ![]()
My goodness…so clean and beautiful
