Solar Serpents 2024 Babies!

Two more sheds, Nightshade and Oleander (who is now a male). He had no issues shedding.

Look at his tiny little eye!

Awww. His little eye allows better appreciation of his lightning cheek.

Ugh, man I really don’t need to keep another male lavender motley, but I really love this little guy! Spyro, first shed:

He’s a handsome little guy. And look at the way he looking up at you, just asking about those future plans!

More like thinking about biting me! Haha!

Here’s his brother, presumed moonstone motley, Donatello. Smallest baby this year (4.8 grams at hatching, and 4.4 now that he’s shed). Caught him mid-shed. Such a cute little guy!

That’s just too cute! I love it when I catch them “undressing.”

Me too. It’s satisfying to watch.

Actually, I need this one, or one like it, WOW that is gorgeous

Sexual dimorphism or red factor? Who knows?!

Or peach factor!

It’s a possibility! I don’t really know dad’s genetics beyond lavender motley het anery.

Unfortunately a few of my ‘females’ shed and were really beautiful and peachy, leading me to suspect my out-of-egg sexing was incorrect! So now we have male Laurel and male Ursula! Haha! There’s a reason I usually try not to choose gendered names! I might need to rename Ursula. He’s gonna get picked on.

And some lava tesseras are shedding as well.

I’m not sure what the naming convention was for that particular clutch, but formerly Ursula could become Flotsam, Jetsam, Hades…

Purple things! I’ve renamed him Barney.

Absolutely perfect! Quite the iconic purple dinosaur.

Love it! From Ursula to Barney, that totally rocks!

First feed for the sunkissed babies. So far we’re at 4 out of 6 that ate right away, including Oleander with the dinky eye.

And in other news, look who I heard rustling around in the giant bag of aspen!

Frenzy, the last missing lava baby! He’s got a lot of stuck shed, so I plopped him right into a bath/drink and he had a really long drink.

After shed removal and serious hydration:

I love those SKs. So happy Frenzy is back!!

Hooray, hooray, hooray!! I’m glad you’ve got some good feeders. I’m really happy that you’ve got little Frenzy back where he belongs! What a fortunate little guy. I’m sure he’s happy to be hydrated again.
