Also a stunner! . This is starting out to be an amazing clutch!
Thanks! I’m really happy with them so far. I hope the rest are all big too.
72 days is cool if they’re gonna come out 9g+!
Yet another big baby is out! 9.3 grams! I’m just loving these huge babies. Neither parent is particularly huge, so I don’t know what’s up with that, but I am not complaining! This is Flash, a male. So mom was a bit mislabeled when I got her. For one thing, she was labeled as a golddust (she’s not, she’s just ultramel). She was also labeled as het motley, but this baby proves that wrong! So she’s clearly het stripe instead. I’m pretty sure this is a tessera stripe, not just a stripe. Very vanishing stripe and it doesn’t end with dashes or dots like a regular stripe. If all the other babies come out as tesseras as well, I think that will pretty much (taken with a grain of salt) prove mom as a super tessera.
I agree with the tessera stripe id. What a beauty!
Ooooooh! So so lovely!
You should have used names of giants for this giant clutch! The
Dang, that’s a good idea! If only I’d known!
Here we have a suspected golddust stripe tessera, male, named Trinket. He’s also huge, at 9.3 grams. I might need to keep this one…
Wow! That’s one dazzling Trinket! I do agree that you should keep this “jewel”!
They are beautiful! Big and beautiful!
Another jumbo baby out. Twinkle, male golddust or ultra caramel tessera. He really didn’t want to sit still and it’s nighttime lighting, so not a great pic! So far all the babies in this clutch are really gentle and sweet. My son even held one, which is not something I’d usually do.
And then I have something I’ve never experienced before…
This thing! Or things?
I don’t have high hopes for the survivability of this little guy since the heads are very conjoined. I’m not ever sure if the mouths would be able to open. But I’ll leave him be for now and see if he comes out on his own.
Oh wow. Fingers crossed!
Ohhhh This is such a pretty snake. Just when I though Tesseras couldn’t get any prettier…
I know! I really like the look of it. There’s almost a purple undertone in the lower half?
Aw man! Not sure about this little one(s)……
That is one crazy surprise, I wish you all the best with it! I think you might be the third or fourth person I’ve seen this season have a conjoined hatchling pop up, must be something in the air.
Two new babies out, both over 9 grams.
Twinkle, male golddust or ultra caramel tessera.
And Sparkle, female amel stripe tessera.
No change in the two headed baby. It’s still alive, just hanging out in its egg. It only pipped last night, so it’s still well within the normal timeframe for leaving the egg.
I love these Tessera Stripes.
