Solar Serpents 2024 Babies!

I love her. And my favorite Britcom character is Hyacinth Bouquet (Bucket).

Thanks!

So… 3 of the 12 eggs are the grayer motleys (just waiting on two babies to come out now, but I can see they’re both the redder lavenders). I know dad is het anery, so I’m thinking the gray ones are indeed moonstone motleys. Anery is a decently common het anyway, so it wouldn’t be a shock to find it in an unknown animal. I’ll reserve judgement until first sheds, but it makes sense to me.

I agree on the moonstones.

Second to last baby out! Ditto, popping female, but I think probably male. I’ll check again after the first shed.

And the lava clutch is doing well with its pipping. The first baby is out, a robust male named Havoc! Lava tessera.

Excellent!!

And the last lavender motley is out! Probable female named Laurel. The babies in this clutch were all quite small. None over 6 grams! Most in the low 5s.

Actually…she might be…I am no expert in corn snake morphs but…yeah, I am happy that you got some of them :relieved:

The next lava tessera is out. Another male, named Ruckus!

@solarserpents you have to have one of the babies be name “Oh my god, no”. lol :joy:

Haha, that might get a bit long to write on charts!

But here’s Peril instead, a lovely little female lava.

Oh my goodness! Such a lavishness of Lavender lovelies! I keep thinking, Oh, that’s my favorite! Then I change my mind when I see the next one, and the next one. They’re all just wonderful babies! Congrats again!

I also agree that the cooler toned babies are Moonstones, fwiw.

I duup

Wellllll…maybe? I’d call her a Pinstripe Motley. But. There’s a bit wider space between the stripes further down her body. It’s kind of between the usual “defitite Motley” and “definite Stripe” width. It’s maybe barely possible that she’s a really messy, cubey Stripe. I had one back in the day who everybody said was a Motley-Stripe. Turned out she was very messy cubey Stripe who produced nothing but Stripes and obvious Cubes in multiple clutches when bred to a Stripe.

So, any plans to pair this girl with a Stripe?

Nightshade is so colorful! Is there Red Factor in there, or is he just that bright?

And all those Lavas are gorgeous!

No real specific plans for her past this season. I’ll have to think about it. After I got one baby with some pinstriping, I’m thinking it’s just one of those weird odds things.

I think so? I’m 99% sure dad is red factor (same dad to the lavender boy I sent you, who I also believe is red factor). Some of these babies are exceptionally saturated, but I haven’t worked a lot with lavender, so I’ll have to wait and see how they look after first and maybe second/third sheds!

Ahh. That makes sense. Very saturated and lovely, in any case.

For everybody’s viewing pleasure, here’s a fairly recent image of that gorgeous boy I whom got from Olivia last year.
