Day 74 and we have pips from Lark and Dandelion! They are an ultramel super tessera het caramel, stripe, cinder, along with a few other possible hets, and a honey stripe het cinder. So should be some fun stuff!

I’m excited for this clutch. Glad young Dandelion performed!

What a great picture! Congratulations on them!

We’re up to 5 pips, plus one baby that came out. I think Lark must just produce large babies, since this little guy isn’t so little at 9.4 grams! He’s a normal male stripe tessera named Newt!

I love the faint stripe on his back!

Me too. I really like tessera with stripe.

Tessera stripe is definitely my favorite pattern morph. So pretty!

I have a feeling the babies from Lark and Dandelion’s clutch are going to be my personal favorite of your hatchlings this year. I know scaleless and carbons are super sought-after, but something about the simple stripe, tessera, cinder, and caramel combos just have a special place in my heart.

You forgot Okeetees!

I’m really looking forward to seeing what pops out! I think she produces really nice looking babies. And yeah, I love those combos too!

Another big boy! This is Voodoo. I’m thinking he’s a cinder tessera? I’ll be more sure after his shed.

This one is for sure a cinder tessera, another big boy at 9.5 grams. His name is Hex. I really like his funky pattern!

Fantastic morph. These guys are awesome. Love the naming theme!

And yet another cinder tessera! Even bigger than the last ones at 9.8 grams. What a chunk! Elixir:

Any of these could also be caramel. The first one does look different to me - I wonder if maybe that’s what’s happening with that one. I’ll compare them all more closely after their first shed.

Oh, of course!

I’m impressed with their size. Does age or number of clutches have anything to do with that?

There are probably multiple factors. The mom of this clutch is pretty average sized, the dad isn’t full grown yet but comes from some pretty long parents. Her clutch last year also had very large babies (different dad who’s average size). So in her case, I think she has some genetic component that makes big ones.
