Go for it Indi! Once bitten twice shy! Now that you know how easily a tiny little noodle can find a way out you will be more in tune with all of the nooks and crannies a seemingly secure enclosure can have. It would not surprise me if your escapee shows up after you adopt a second noodle!

If it’s ever gonna show up it’s going to be like the day after I get my new one lol.
But ofc I’m not going to complain about two snakes:)

That’s usually how it goes!

A few first sheds.

Newt, male normal stripe tessera. He’s 66% ph cinder, but I’m pretty sure he’s actually 100% het. I really like him!

And Voodoo, who is NOT a cinder tessera, but is actually a caramel tessera! Explains why he didn’t look quite right for a cinder when he hatched. Also 66% ph cinder, but also looks 100% to me. He has a lot of gray in that background color.

Beautiful. That Tessera Stripe will be an awesome adult.

I don’t think I posted about breeding this pair, but I wanted to take one more shot at producing palmettos this year from a different pair of pos het palmettos. There are currently 4 pips and one is a palmetto!

So awesome. And it was kind of a long shot. But I’m learning to be less dismissive of phets!

A few more first sheds.

Elixir, cinder tessera or caramel cinder tessera. This one seemed very male at hatching, but didn’t want to pop, but now he’s confirmed male! I like how the first half of his stripe is pretty clean and the second half is all messy.

And Arcana, female normal tessera:

I’m very excited to announce some of these babies from the pos het Palmetto clutch!

Auriga:

Spica:

Volans:

Hydra. This one has a lot of red, even in the belly:

And visual palmetto, Altair! He’s a good size, 8.2 grams. And his eyes are only a little bit bigger than the normals’. I really like his splotch of color!

This little monster shed. Jinx, caramel tessera. Still don’t know if she’s stripe or not. Her belly looks like a stripe belly, but the pattern on top isn’t consistent with what stripe tessera should look like. Oh well, there’s always at least one who likes to throw you for a loop! She is very thrashy, musky, and bitey!

Whatever she is, she’s gorgeous!

Literally the entire rest of the clutch shed overnight, so here’s a pic dump.

They’re all beautiful. I especially love the Caramel Tessera Stripes.

Wow. Jinx is a puzzle. Totally looks motley tessera, but that’s not possible with this pairing, right?

Congrats on the phet palmetto with awesome eyes!
