Spayed female, gravid šŸ™ƒ (Ovarian Remnant Syndrome)

Whew, I hope so she just keeps being okay. Goodness knows, you’ve got reason to be jumpy with this girl. She’s fortunate that she is a sweet creature, since she really doesn’t seem to be the easiest animal to live with!

She shed last night and went outside for some explore time today.

What a spoiled girl Miss Celia is!

Probably emailing her vet either tonight or tomorrow morning, she is in blue yet again and I want to at least let her know about the screwed up shed cycles. This is the same thing that happened in May and it’s making me nervous.

Truth to tell, Jess, I wince a bit every time I see this thread updated. I’m always like, come on Celia, no more drama… I would be way past nervous if I were you. Probably just be your basic puddle.

I was really thinking the same thing…

I absolutely dread even opening this thread for updates, to be honest. I didn’t email yesterday, I’m waffling on what to do here because she is that much of a conundrum.

We care about you, @noodlehaus, and about Cecilia the Confounding. Updates are worth a wince or two.

In that case, today’s update is that I did finally email a message to the vet clinic, just waiting to hear back on what is advised. Even if her vet does end up wanting to see her, it’ll be after she sheds. Back to waiting for now.

Just got off the phone with her vet and I feel very reassured. Right now, so long as she’s otherwise acting normally, we’re just going to monitor her. She’s proven once that even if she makes eggs, she is capable of resorbing them, so there’s every reason to just sit back and keep an eye on her for any issues.

She is, aside the weird shed schedule and continued ability to ovulate, actually doing great. Acting normal, good activity levels, eating regularly even while in blue, weight is perfect, not a thing would make you think she’s anything but healthy. So that’s where we’re at, she might just be a quirky girl the rest of her life.

What a silly snake she is! Hopefully she just keeps on keeping on, whatever her weird self’s schedule may be. Fingers crossed, prayers continued.

She has shed and is back to normal once again. Doesn’t make sense, but I’ll take it.

Whew!! I’m glad to hear that. :+1:

Guess who’s back to a normal shed schedule? Yep, Ms. Celia had a 91 day shed interval! She’s looking great, still a happy, active, curious girl as usual. She’s regained any lost weight, perfect body condition. I’ll likely have to keep an eye on her every breeding season, but so long as she continues operating on a closed loop, she should get to live out the rest of her time just being my spoiled little anxiety noodle.

Whew. Updates to this post worry me.

I think this might be the last I update this post, honestly. She’s now stable, and while she may ovulate & resorb again, her vet thinks it can continue on without intervention. She’s got a really, really weird quirk, but this is her normal. Not in any pain, it’s not adversely affecting anything, she’s free to keep on snekkin’.

Keep on snekkin’ , darling Celia, keep right on snekkin’ for a long, long time!
