Looks like both congratulations and consolation are in order. That storm sounds awful! Sure hope everything resolves nicely. As if you didn’t already have enough on your plate!
Your babies are absolutely gorgeous! I’m so glad everyone is healthy and full of such intense color already. I LOVE all your photos. They are such fun bubbly pics! Sorry you didn’t get any avalanches, but I know you’ll look at the bright side like you always do. Congratulations on all those healthy babies!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, everybody! The babies are a wonderful distraction from the cleanup. My internet was really wonky yesterday and I had a headache so I went to bed early. Service is better, so here’s the tree before we did any work. I know scale is hard in images. The root ball is about 6’ high.
Dan cut a lot of the big stuff today. Most of the smaller stuff got burned. (Fire danger isn’t a concern here now. It’s practitically a swamp.) There’s still a lot to do but at least a lot is done.

Most of the babies are out and set up. One of the final trio is out but still in the incubation bin. I’m about to go set that one up. I think the other 2 will emerge by evening.
I’ve got to go work on some music at church. I’ll try and post more baby pics later. This crew is going to have excellent saturation. Here is one of each flavor until I get a chance to post more.

Oh my @caryl! Trees are wonderful to have around for a lot of reasons but one strong wind coming from the right direction can cause great havoc, as is what happened in your yard! You are blessed that you still have a roof with a house under it! As well as your safety!

We have a lot trees in our yard and I’m fine with that. This particular rotting maple tree should have been taken down years ago, but it wasn’t our tree. Ever since we moved into this house way back in 2000, we’ve thought it would go in the next big storm. Took a lot longer than anyone expected, but at least when it fell it didn’t hit any structures at all.

Finally might have a chance to update on Allstar and Annelie’s pretty babies as well as other eggs. I might split the hatchlings’ info into separate threads as they hatch and shed so I can keep better track of them. They will get strawberry names before long. I often wait until I see their personalities a bit before settling on their names. The lighting isn’t great for most of these images but they’re meant to be ID shots at this point.
In the mean time, here are the newest beautiful RF Strawberry Bloodreds, Granites, and Fires at my house. Let’s start with the RF Bloodreds het Anery, 66% ph Amel, pos Halo, ph Charcoal. AlxAn0326 and Alx1326 are male. Currently looks like AlxAn0126, AlxAn0226, AlxSn0526, AlxAn1026 and AlxAn1426 are female as of now. They’ve all been candled twice and popped at least once. I don’t confirm female until they’ve been rechecked several times though of course male once= male. AlxAn1426 has some fun aberrant markings.

AlxAn0726 and AlxAn1526 are male. AlxAn0626, AlxAn1226 and AlxAn1626 are female (so far). They’re all 66% ph Amel, pos Halo, ph Charcoal.

Here are the RF Strawberry Fires het Anery, pos Halo, ph Charcoal. They were pretty cooperative about getting their picture taken, so I took quite a few 
. AlxAn0426 is the only female in this group.
Some in each group are already obviously Super RF. Technically one can’t know this 100% until they produce offspring since one parent isn’t a Super, but the coloring in an extremely strong indicator. I will be keeping at least one of the female Strawberry Granites. Possibly might keep a male Strawberry Fire. A couple of the Strawberry Bloodreds are tempting, too.

In other news, Narcissa has shed and eaten a large mouse so she’s fully on track after her second clutch. I believe only one of those eggs is actually fertile. Although 5 look extetnally perfect, only one has good veins. No complaints, though. I didn’t put her and Raiden together again after she’d laid the first clutch. That first clutch should have 14 babies pipping near 13 July. Given that Raiden won’t celebrate his second birthday for two more days, I think they did very well.

The bitty clutch from Galahad and Purple Wonder is doing just fine. The eggs are increasing in size as they should, and they’ve got good veins and embryo shadows. I’m posting pics so others who may be wondering about eggs with calcification “stars” and other oddly mineralized shells can see that these can and do generally develop normally.

The white in the head stamp of 9026 reminds me of a fox with little beady eyes. Haha. I love the amel’s color. Can’t wait to see what they look like all grown up!
