Lol you two, @caron and @lumpy . You are silly. Fortunato is staying here for the foreseeable future, no matter who asks. But we are so grateful for the support of this wonderful community!! Okay, I’m anthropomorphizing, but if Fortunato understood the situation, I’m sure he’d be grateful. And I certainly am!:hugs:

This is a good thing! :+1:

Two of these babies have shed already, which surprised me. First is Flair, named for a type of Tulip. She was friendly right out of her egg, coming to investigate my hand every time I opened the bin. It doesn’t show well in the pics but her saddles have a lovely burgundy tone. She’s got quite a bit of red on her ventrum, too.

Progressing beautifully, colorwise.

This cute boy (name TBD) also shed. Poor little guy, I accidentally dropped his deli cup on the floor when I had finished changing his water. Upside down. He was understandably startled, but he was still manageable when I transferred him into a new, dry container. He has beautiful eyes.

They sure are amazing!

Thanks! I like her. Maybe I just don’t remember, I haven’t produced a lot of visual Classics, but she seems to have more red tones than I expected after a first shed.

Thanks! He’s got cute little markings underneath his eyes, too.

Awww. I always like to look at facial markings and head stamps. They are small details, but they’re often very individually different and lovely. Flair has cute dots above her eyes like eyebrows.

I might try and get a picture at some point but shes currently in shed and a flighty yearling haha.

One more shed at evening check. Here’s the Snow girl, pretty in pink :heartpulse:. Her saddle pattern is very regular. Her color is still different from that of the Snows in the other clutch, which I find interesting. She’s not as calm as Flair, but still pretty chill for a young baby. She has subtle dots above her eyes. So cute!

Her eyes just pop! Shes beautiful!

Thanks, I think so too. I was planning to keep 1.1 from this clutch. Going to be a tough choice on the girls. (Fortunato will be the keeper male.)

It must be difficult to decide on holdbacks.

All of the babies are beauties and each one unique in its own way but I have to say my fave so far is Miss Flair! @caryl I am so enjoying these pictures!!:blush::+1::clap:

It truly can be. I’ve got all these complicated potential breeding plans to reach complicated potential breeding goals, and sometimes choosing a holdback is easy. If there’s only one of a particular visual morph I’m trying for or need for future plans, that’s easy. Fortunato, for instance; I was hoping for an Anery Cube for several reasons, so he stays. Other times, less obvious factors come into play. I sometimes I hold onto babies for months before deciding. I know I’m going to be holding a bunch of my third clutch this year for a long while. (Speaking of whom, they should be pipping soon. It’s Day 58.)

I’m so glad!! Producing these babies is truly a labor of love for me. I love sharing them! :blue_heart: :purple_heart: :sparkling_heart:

I really love Flair’s personality so far. My breeding goals always include disposition. I believe that virtually all corns can be good pets, and accept regular handling. Even flighty, defensive babies can grow up to be fine pets with patient, regular handling and care. That said, some are calm and curious from the moment they see their first human. Flair is one of these.

For one of the pairs ill be doing next year ill likely have to hold some back for near to a year to see how deep their reds are and their quality of diffusion.
