I love a few spiders!
Haha I feel better about loving the little thing now
Plus he was from my daughter so means a lot
Beautiful and adorable nice enclosure too
Thankyou!
Just a little upgrade today, when he’s bigger he’ll be going into a glass viv
Love it! This is probably my favorite thread here!
I probably won’t own any inverts, but that doesn’t mean I can’t admire all the beautiful ones on this thread! I maybe lying when I say I won’t own any though, I may eventually own an african giant millipede and maybe a praying mantis, but I don’t like how short the lifespan is.
I don’t remember seeing this thread before, odd! Learned a lot looking through it, y’all have such amazing inverts! Gotta say though the scorpions and tarantulas are driving me nuts with how gorgeous they are
What species of scorp? Are both pics the same species? Guessing at a glance its a highly venomous buthid species of some kind. Pretty scorp!!
Parabuthus villosus ‘oranje’, same scorpion in both.
Very cool photo!
This makes me shiver
Don’t be so mean, it only wants a little bite, a small taste….
Funny thing is I believe thats an OBT and they have a reputation for being fast bite 1st ask questions later wild-child kinda Tarantula. Orange Baboon Tarantula but I’ve heard them also called Orange Bitey Thing.
So unless its a calm chill individual I bet it would possibly nibble just a bit if it could.
He was not being very chill at the time. He actually attacked my camera from the other side of the enclosure, because he saw me through the glass after I tried to feed him, as you can see, he was not having any of that.
We had one. She’s was a right moody one. Though you could tong feed her, which was awesome! But fast as hell
She went to a breeder in the end, so she should have lots of babies by now
