Will do! Thanks so much
Hey all! So just an update I decided NOT to get that crested gecko but to get another gecko from the same breeder since they have really nice geckos. So the gecko I got is adult full 100% pinstripe, harlequin, Dalmatian and this guy is also a softscale.
so unfortunately in all the pics if him he is fired down but he is quit gorgeous let me know what you think…I will try to get better pictures from the breeder
This guy is pretty big he ways about 45g
He looks like he would make a very nice pet. Personally I wouldn’t breed him either as he is a harlequin dalmation.
Agreed^
But then again I know your soft has spots and I wouldn’t breed her myself either as I’d want clean softs.
But if you’re going to breed anyway, I’d pair him with a Dalmatian to get out clean Dalmatians.
Ones with pinning etc will sell for less as they’ll be ‘messy’ and will take longer to sell.
Hoping you didn’t pay a high price for him either being the mix…
Yeah, both my soft scales have roughly 2 spots Rainbow Drops spots weren’t visible as a baby and I didn’t realise Kona has spots until she finally fired down.

I’m hoping to remove spots from the line but will see what Kona produces to Milkyway & later to Rainbow Drop to see how prominent the spots might be in offspring.

Thanks guys! I do not plan on breeding him I just though he was quite pretty plus he is super sweet:heart: And no I didn’t pay i high price thank goodness
I decided to name the gecko I had just bought (who live in this terrarium) mango! He is so uniqe and really perfect as a pet only gecko and he does enjoy the large open space
and he does enjoy the large open space
I’m sure mango loves the space you’ve provided.
I’d still recommend some more up top as Cresties usually spend more time up top, that being said I have a couple Cresties prefer the ground
Though I plan on getting much more decor such as cork bark I will also be adding more snake plants and possibly those plastic bamboo branches you can suction on
You may find that he might use the top more if there are more hiding options available.
I noticed some of my Cresties stayed towards the floor & moved up as they grew more confident.
Hey all!! Got the cutest most derpyest look on mangos face😂
So I do have a question I got mango about a week ago and the first night he arrived I placed out (in little bottle caps) different Pangea flavors around the tank to see which one was his favorite and he loved the watermelon so on his next feeding night (which was two days later) (I usually feed my cresties every two nights and that works great!) I fed him the Pangea again but he didn’t touch it even though I saw him hanging around his food/water ledge so I know he knows where it is, so I thought this was odd since he ate his food two nights ago but I just let it slide. Two nights after that (which was last night) I put his food out again in the same spot but he didn’t touch it, so I was wondering is it normal for adult cresties to not eat for long periods??
Thankyou!
Try other flavour, mix together etc.
what insects are you feeding too?
Hi thanks for replying so I have been putting out 3 different flavors every night around the tank and the first night he did eat all of it so I don’t think the flavor is the problem unless he changes his mind very easily:smile: and I have not tried insects with him because the breeder said he has never had insects so I don’t believe he will eat them I mean he is 4 years old.

I’d try insects.
I was told the same with a few of mine, they didn’t eat them… well they are insect mad here!
And maybe stop putting multiple in, just the 1.
He will eat as he won’t starve himself
