Ok I get what you mean, but he may not be eating as he doesn’t like the flavours, so defo mix it up and get some others to try.
And every other day is a must for adults and babies, I have some who don’t eat it all and others who smash it and not a drop left. Each is different.
On top of every other feed, crickets 2/3 times a week Also.
No idea who’s telling you different but 2 times a week is not ok for an adult at all.
And if you’re saying it’s too much to feed every other day, then a Crestie may not be for you. They need it. 2 times a week isn’t good enough and they’ll be starving, and if they don’t like the feed then they won’t touch and he May die.
So if you’re finding feeding him hard then I’d say find him another home…
A lot of lizards eat EVERY day, so every other is a lot easier than that.
I’m sure you’ve got animals who feed every day? So Cresties should be easier.
Any pics of him?

Hi thanks so much for the reply, I will start feeding him every other day once I return and go ahead and order the Pangea fig and insects. I also have zoo med crested gecko diet which is just a mix of banana mango and another fruit. So I tried to offer it to him last night but I mixed it with Pangea watermelon so it was a mix of zoo med fruits and Pangea watermelon. Not sure if that is a good mix or not but he ate some! I have some pics it wasn’t the whole bowl for sure but definitely some!

I really hope he doesn’t have a tummy ach I don’t see how he could since I always freshly make his food then take it out the next morning but I will order more food and start feeding every other day as well as mixing flavors to see how he does

If I am not feeding him enough should he have ate all his food last night?
Unless he dies have tummy ach… I really hope he doesn’t
No!!
Crickets are the best,
Mealworms are bad for them.
You can feed them crickets, locust, dubia, red runners, Calci worms, wash worms as treats…
Defo feed crickets.

I don’t like Calci worms as my Crestie pooped one out still alive!
But I agree with everything ghoulish Cresties mentioned.
If you’ve been taking it out then he won’t be getting ill but it’s likely he is missing when the food is there.
I’ve never tried zoo med

Zoo med isn’t the best. I would stick with the Pangea or repashy.
I also learned the hard way with calci worms. I’m not a fan of crickets, but dubia are a hit.

Thankyou for the replies I will go ahead and order some crickets. Do you recommend gut-loading them?
Yeah, feed them Pangea or whatever you’re feeding the Cresties

Hello, so I did notice something in his behavior that I thought was worth mentioning.
I have a small night camera that is above his tank that I turn on, on his feeding nights to watch if he eats. And I noticed something interesting…actually I didn’t really need the camera to see (he also does it while I hold him) but what noticed is he is always sticking his tongue out…not letting it stay out but sort of like a snake in and out.
there are some periods when he doesn’t like when he sleeps but when he is awake like in the camera footage and when I’d hold him he does this and it’s quit frequent so almost the whole time he is awake.
Is this normal? I have never heard of a crested gecko doing this that’s why I thought I would mention it.
