Pictures of reptiles in the “wild”

Just found this guy at my house after finding out that I passed my GED with flying colors and a GPA of 3.5! Today is good .

Thank you! I am super happy with it. Only one horrible thing happened today, I originally fell really bad onto cement at work on the 3rd but today at work I leaned my weight on my femur trying to get on the dugout. Now I can’t put weight on it (losing my mind in pain). I think I fractured my femur on the 3rd and cracked it more today. I am in the emergency room, just had CAT scan. I will keep everyone updated, and try to Mod as much as I can tonight.

Oh no, I’m so sorry that happened to you! I hope you heal up quickly!

Congratulations on passing and getting a good GPA, that’s great! I’m sorry to hear about your femur, hopefully it heals soon!

How you holding up? :frowning:

So it actually turns out that I did not fracture my femur, but actually have myositis ossificans. Essentially the trauma that was sustained onto my femur was significant enough to break my bone, but the bone did not break, therefore the calcium deposit my body generated occurred on the outside of the bone causing a bone spike that was cuts my muscle every time I move. The doctor has me on Norco (hydrocodone – acetaminophen), as it sucks to walk, obviously I’m additionally on crutches. The belief is my body will eventually dissolve this.

That’s not fun. Do you have any idea how long it will be until it heals?

Not really, but I will still be doing my internship starting the 10th of May.

If we can do inverts as well, my grandpa found a gorgeous swallowtail butterfly the other day! It had a chrysalis attached to a broom outside our house, though it seems to have died not long after hatching. However we’re in the works of preserving it

Ugh, that sounds incredibly painful, I’m so sorry you’re having to deal with that. I hope you recover quickly!

So, these aren’t reptiles or even inverts, but they’re one of my favourite animals, so I figured I’d share anyway.

Bats! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::heart_eyes: They were hanging out sleeping in an outdoor hallway at my work this past Friday. They’re so freaking cute, I love them!

They’re stunning!

I heard the frogs last night, went searching this morning. Found them in a vernal pool up on the ridge line. The turtle, of course, was down by the river. Threw in the paw print. It’s about 5” across. Bear? Or really big dog!
