Dunno if you’re still looking for dark and pink together, but adult Heliconia corn snakes and many Strawberry Aneries have very pink ground color and dark saddles.

Dratini loves being drawn as dinosaurs although i don’t know if you’d wanna do a maxx pink again cause you already have. I will use this as an excuse to post some pictures of her though lol

She has a very pretty iridescence and some pinks coming in on the sides of her little oreo belly. I’m not sure how iridescence would look on a dino but i think it’s an interesting idea

No matter if I use the refs for art or not, Dratini pics are ALWAYS welcome!! Such a gorgeous girl!

Here is a Gojirasaurus, named for the Japanese name for Godzilla, Gojira. Its a rather slim dinosaur for being named after a notoriously chonky kaiju.

I knew I didn’t just want a basic grey animal, and the most recent Monsterverse (US Godzilla franchise) gave Godzilla a delightful pink glow when he was powered up, so that’s why I chose the pink accents!

I picked the pink land iguana because 1) I didn’t know they exist and 2) in the 2000 movie Zilla, Godzilla was born from an irradiated iguana, so it was perfect!

Ohhh I love that!

I think a variation of this with a high color marine iguana could be really cool too, because 1 it has all of the colors that represent Godzilla (black, blue, pink), 2 it’s ocean dwelling like Godzilla, 3 it just looks a lot like Godzilla

Ohhh that’s true, I didn’t realize marine iguanas could have pinks like that, that’s so pretty!

Yeah, here’s another good example

Oh they can be so much prettier than I’ve ever seen in documentaries!

You know, you’re totally right about that. It never occurred to me until you said it, but marine iguanas absolutely do look like Godzilla!

Here’s the ‘finished’ butterfly piece. The last planned one ended up being in a rotted area of fabric that I didn’t notice so it tore. Oh well!

Top row: mourning cloak, queen alexandria’s birdwing, little yellow/sulphur
Middle row: monarch, tiger swallotail (he’s not quite symmetrical lol)
Bottom row: blue morpho, summer azure

Not herps, but they fit in on this site! Some cute little sea slugs.

This one was hard bc making a slug shape fit naturally into a geometric sharp style is rough AND the originals are SO CUTE I can truly never capture it. I don’t love to results, but it was a good experiment!

This project is unfortunately going to go back on a bit of a hiatus.
Grad school is beating the snot out of me, I changed antidepressants, and I have COVID.
In other words, I feel AMAZING right now.

I’m always open to future suggestions, and I’ll be back!!
