Show Off Your Cresties šŸ¤©

They can be so funny.

I was bit by my first crestie this year, my faultā€¦she thought i was a bug. I couldnā€™t believe how much it didnā€™t hurt!

My daughter actually asked to check my thumb and was like oh thereā€™s nothing there!
I swear itā€™s the non existent teeth, useless things haha.
Best one was Lilo biting my face
I was loving Kaneki and cuddled him to my cheek, as you do!
Thought Iā€™d do the same with Lilo. She said no Thankyou and bit me

Anymore pics? Itā€™s a cute patternless I must say! And I was never a fan years ago of them! Now I think theyā€™re fab!
Will you be breeding?

I loved the look of the fluffy yellow patternless was on here. One of the first patternless one I have liked, kind of got me hooked, lol.

Theyā€™re probably almost the same. Iā€™ve only been bit a couple times by a leopard gecko and it didnā€™t hurt at all.

They often get overlooked!
But the red etc about more now you canā€™t miss them! Thereā€™s some lovely ones out there :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I had a really cute buckskin Crestie, he had orange eyelashes. But I had to sell him to make room for females :frowning:

Was by far the calmest male Iā€™ve ever owned!

Not as of now. I love all my little kids but breedings just not something Iā€™m drawn too yet. I need to get some better pictures when heā€™s fired up heā€™s a deep Orange and his back is almost a greenish hue to it.

Put heā€™s a bugger instead

Enough was censored that it should be okay. Some ā€˜naughtierā€™ words were okay with only 1 *.
Either way I love that first picture, he looks like heā€™s waiting to eat the camera.

We only have one. He was our first reptile and with him the reptile addiction started. Living in Holland we almost have no reptiles in the wild unlike most American people here, so my love for them started a lot later in life than for most people here. Promised my son that we can get a reptile, so on a orientation trip to a reptile expo to see what reptile would be okƩ for us I gave in to my sons tears and impuls bought or cresty. He was only two weeks old and way to young to be sold, I know now, had many worries when I realised that. We where even to scared to leave him behind for longer than a day, so we carried him every where. He even went with us on holiday to France and weekend trips to my mother . But we managed and now years later he is a big healthy boy and we are still really happy we got him. We owe him al lot. He showed us how great reptiles are.

Chompy when we first got him. So tiny. The hand is from my by then 8 year old son.

Chompy a few months ago.

Thatā€™s such a great story. Glad he was okay and that his a great pet. His handsome too. Are you planning on getting any more reptiles?

My first Crestie (many years ago) was sold far too young and was incubated far too hot, I also bought her from an expo and she was about 1cm longā€¦ Including tail, they were all sold like that back then. I was too scared to hold her

My Crestie died a few years ago (aged 9) and she never made it to a big size but she was a great Crestie. When she died, I decided that I wanted more and now I have 12 Cresties

Heā€™s a big chonker, love it!
Thereā€™s still people around trying to sell them too young, actually spoke to a woman about a month ago who had one up at 2 days old, she said she wasnā€™t selling yet just putting up, a week later I get a message that itā€™s ready to go, so I again questioned her about weight and age saying they wonā€™t be ready, to which she said oh theyā€™re not ready yet Iā€™m just letting you know will be. Same again a week laterā€¦
Well sheā€™s now posting them at 2 days old saying they can go to homes and will be fine! :triumph:
Honestly some right idiots out there who just donā€™t care!
I breed but I care about every single one, theyā€™re handled daily and donā€™t leave me until 10/15g and sexed. I question any potential buyers about their knowledge, I get pictures of set ups, Iā€™ve turned people down who I donā€™t think are right too! I may breed but I love them all and want them to have the best homes possible. So many people out there give ā€˜breedersā€™ a bad name.
Lucky you found him, and your son for crying until you said yes! :joy::heart:

I know, is upsetting to see breeders out there that donā€™t know what they are doing, some still breed their cresties when they are far to small then sell them off as a breeding pair, leaving the new owner to deal with a poorly underweight girl.

Why canā€™t they just wait till itā€™s safe? I should know, Iā€™m going crazy waiting for mine :stuck_out_tongue: :upside_down_face:

Side note one of my girlies is eating double what the other Cresties are eating, good sign!
Iā€™m certain she had duds, as she had the buldge (being still a lil small) then it disappeared and she lost a fair bit of weight (due to not eating much when she had the buldge) but I cannot find the eggs ANYWHERE! Although i fear I may still be waiting till next year, huff :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
