I love him What kind of genes does he have on him? Is there maybe some tricolor in there? Or some drippy? I’m not really to familiar with the genetics side of crested geckos.
@becksterlynn no that’s Rusty. He’s more than double Dorito’s size.
Spot on!
He’s a tricolour with the drippy trait!
Thankyou @becksterlynn, we both have a Tiny!
I know it. Was originally Three, and likely going to change again. Names are hard.
Are you referring to me? Because if so I don’t have one named Tiny.
Changed it, no was someone I know but can see how confusing that is
Oh, I see. I was a bit confused, lol.
Oh wow! Maybe I know more about crestie genetics than I thought.
You’re getting good
Cannot wait to see who you choose for you Boy! (We all know he’ll get some ladies)
I was thinking of getting some sort of Lilly white to pair with him. Either a gold, red or tricolor Lilly white. I’d love to see how the Lilly white would pair with his very dark base.
Dark based lillies are lush!
And I do live the yellow ones I must say
I just saw this, it got me too!
The cutest dang stickup you ever did see! Tulip!
Just had to take our two pieces of wood out as they were moldy.
Well done on the Crestie genetics
A Lilly White, nice! I love all of them, the white just makes a great contrasts with any colour. Guess you will have to look at each of the colours until you find the one
Lil cutie
A little bit of mold is okay, a quick wipe should do the trick. If you have a bio-active enclosure then you probably wouldn’t need to wipe it off, depending how big it is
I said if take a pic of baby/juvenile Crestie enclosure that is bio-active, but I can’t remember which thread so I’m putting it here
It’s been set up a while now and doing really well, the 2 plants were cuttings to start with
Thank you! Definitely need the inspiration.
We are planning to go bio soon. We are actually in the middle of finishing a shelf to put all the boxes on. Going bio is next!
Part of me is wondering if the wood didn’t bake long enough and there was still some extra moisture.
How long did you bake and what temperature?
When I first set up bio-active enclosures they produce bacteria, they often produce mushrooms. Remember it’s humid in the enclosures so it will always have some form of bacteria, just depends how long until the clean up crew find it. Obviously you haven’t got the clean up crew in those but the bacteria will still appear of you have wood etc
Honestly, I can’t remember. It was Matt’s job.
I’ve got mold allergies so I panic.
