Yay more cresties!!
I love the last one, he is very beautiful!
I love them!
I believe that reposting, and the posting of new pictures of already posted cresties is allowed and even encouraged on this thread!
He was actually our very first one. About 2 years old. Before I knew how many good breeders were out there he was a Chain store purchase. Super underaged and underweight. But veryā¦. Whatās a nice way to say it. Energetic lol
Reposting is definitely showed here and probably wonāt be noticed as we have so many pictures put on here
Very nice geckos
Anyone got any gecko purchase plans for next year?
For next year I might set up some enclosures and possibly buy a new crestie or two. Most of my effort will be towards day geckos or dart frogs and leopard geckos (tangerine and high-gene females).
You sure a he? Or an old picš
Iāll have to see if I can actually see him doing it and get a picture, but I remember one night, I heard a lot of sounds that sounded like he was crawling on the screen top of his enclosure I donāt think thatās where youāre supposed to climb lol
You know thatās a good question. Iām no expert at gecko sexing. But Iām pretty sure itās a male
I just see no balls on the last one soā¦.
Balls are a BIG give away for males
Iām afraid youāve unraveled my whole gecko world. Like straight up I just always assumed that slight bulge was it. According to my wifeās Facebook āexpertā group, Iām an idiot and have named my little girl Merlin.
Haha Iām sorry!
But I saw no massive bulge there and was likeā¦ āhe?ā
She can still be a merlin!
I agree but adulthood and usually a lot sooner there is a distinct bulge if itās male.
I assumed my very first Crestie was male, until she laid eggs she was per only as super small so didnāt matter. But Iād say Merlin is an awesome name regardless of sex! Your not an idiot, a lot of people make that mistake.
Iāll see if I can get some pics of males showing their bulge so you have an idea just how easy it is to tell! Shouldnāt be hard as the males seem to love showing off their bits š¤¦
Oooooooo I love day geckos. Definitely update if you get them They were the original gecko species that made me want geckos, I donāt have any though as the regular feeding off insects put me off.
I technically have lots of purchase plans, but I am limited on space so hubby has banned me from more pets for a while, esp as Iām going to be breeding Cresties next year.
Babies will take my main focus so Iām hoping it will distract me from the lack of purchasing
But if I could buy, Iād like a gargoyle gecko and maybe a few Cresties
@arice88 it happens to the best of us! I think Merlin is still an awesome name!
@garciademueller Kain does that a lot, especially since heās no longer with the girls. Freaks me out every time.
As for purchasing, we are in the market for another male crestie. Maybe a pair. I would also like to add an AFT, another Leo, BP, and possibly a gargoyle. Matt has been making google eyes at some of the leaf-tailed geckos at the shop, so that may be a thing too.
Iām trying not to buy anymore Cresties now
I have a lot and with wanting to hold back need to be good!
Female gargoyles thoughā¦ Yesā¦
And next year possibly a couple more fatties, depending on what hatches (if I get eggs).
āTryingā
I mean, Pink must count as two. how many are you up to?
Haha she probably does
With whoās here atm, 13 adult males, 15 adult females and 39 babiesā¦ I thinkā¦
