It ended up arriving safely and here are some pictures! They are a widdow jumping spider!

Its a widow jumping spider and the name seems to speak for itself lol. Also when i was doing some research male ones usually have a full red abdomen while females have a black stripe so going from that this one should be a female.

They’re so adorable, congrats! Glad they made it safe and sound.
Are they P. johnsoni? If so, those are native where I live (California), I love them! I don’t see them much around town, but I see them up in the mountains and when I go to the Channel Islands. They’re one of my favourite jumper species. I love black and red spiders.

You’re reminding me that I really need to get some jumpers! I love finding them around my house and yard, as well as in the actual wild on hikes, but I’ve yet to keep any as pets.
I found this male P. johnsoni last year on Santa Cruz Island.

Well I went to Petsmart looking for flightless fruit flies and ended up coming home with something completely different. The wife and I were talking yesterday about adding a scorpion back into the classes. And there was one today. Price was good so I went ahead and got it. He will get a new casa tomorrow.

He’s great David! Is he blue? I saw a scorpion actually molting at a pet store I shop at last weekend. The exoskeleton was opaque. It was incredible!
Great critter! I keep thinking about buying one but I’m still on the fence. My curly hair molted recently and I’m 99.9 percent certain it’s a male. But that’s 
ok.
I have a Trinidad something? Olive maybe? That I need to post a picture of because it beautiful! Or at least I think it is……but I will have to wait until dark because it hides during the day.
But here is another one I have but I am not sure what it is because I am bad at keeping paperwork…… lol! Maybe you can tell me……

Its kinda blue-black dark color. I had one awhile back and they are pretty cool. Gonna set him up in a good home with some deep substrate and hides.
I think that spider is a Holothele longipes. That sound right? Common name is Trinidad pink.

I’m sorry, I had a brain fart. Wife talking to me at the same time. I have a chevron, but that is an olive. I think. Olives have the more pronounced stripes on the abdomen. And are generally smaller I think, too.

Asian forest scorpion, @spottedbull? I love those guys! I’d love to get either an Asian forest or Emperor scorpion, though what I’d really like is a flat rock scorpion. I just love how flat and compressed they look. Pancake scorpions! Though I love the big beefy claws and glossy black colour on the AFS/Emperors.

Beautiful! I love the colour on both the Trinidad Chevron and Trinidad Olive. Green is my favourite colour, so I tend to love anything that has so much as a green tint. Do you find yours to be especially fast and bolty? I’ve heard that both the Chevrons and the Olives can be pretty quick and prone to teleporting, which is the main thing that’s given me pause about getting one.
There’s a Poecilotheria species that has some greenish setae that give it a greenish tint. It’s probably my favourite pokie, but I always forget which species it is. Aside from P. metallica (the blue one), I struggle to keep my pokies straight.
