Very nice! What type of carpet? I’m not a carpet python expert, but I wanna say…Papuan?

Technically he’s a cheynei, but it’s one of the more southern locales so instead of being called a jungle carpet, he’s called a locality coastal

He’s a real feisty guy, already bitten me twice and will try to strike at anything that moves while being held :joy: I’ll be sure to try and calm him down before he gets too big

Very nice! Coastals are the ones that can get rather large, yes?

Man, I’m realizing just how little I know about carpets and their localities. :joy:

Yes I think Coastals get quite large Jennifer. Maybe the largest of the carpets?

Yes, coastals can get very big, but as this is a cheynei and not a mcdowelli, I think he’ll be a bit smaller than a typical coastal. I think it’s jungle carpet python in size, but closer to coastal in coloration and pattern.

Gotcha. He’s gorgeous! Hopefully he’ll calm down with some time and handling.

Picked this girl up a little over a month ago. She is about 2-3 years old. Still in quarantine but doing well. Pictures were taken when I got back home from transporting her from old home to her new one. She has grown some already and about to shed anyday.

New pied guy

A couple of mourning geckos. Currently in a small quarantine bioactive until their big enclosure is finished. Got a pic of one on its favorite poop leaf.

Found an opportunity to buy a boa. He is a very beautiful Lipstick hypo het Khali

He is so red and so beautiful. Do boas keep their color or fade like ball pythons as they age?

@ronsim33

Most hypo will darken up to a base tan color, and the tail and saddles will be brownish red color.

Never had a baby boa keep it’s baby colors. I am working on baby hypos to keep their tail colors. My BCCXBCI cross hypos are keeping their tail colors for the most part so far.

Love that guy’s eyes also! Very nice gift.

I always think it’s crazy that my wife complains about not knowing what to get me for gifts. I mean, come on, really? :thinking: :joy:
