I love how their neck still contain some of the black
Also the tongues are black and not red
I love that part about boas too.
I just stumbled onto this thread. And I have to say you are producing some freaking smoke shows! But these take the cake for me! Super super interesting pair of males.
Thanks for the positive feedback Sir!
For sure the combo of patternless and green genetics has thrown some fascinating color palettes , in fact one of the siblings has a Mexican bairds kinda look , silver with orange undertones.
Your welcome! But some of those are freaking crazy nice! And you guys and gals need to stop with the sir talk lol
I love Gophers, Haven’t had any for like 20 years, very excited to be getting two this week!!! Thanks for your post, super beautiful!!!

Right here man, right here. To bad I don’t have the space for one.
Hello Pit gang! I just stumbled on this thread about Pits!! Lol I was beginning to think this was only about the Ball Pythons like most internet forums/sites/podcast/youtube etc. since thats the craze of late. I am headed off to work but will load some pics when I have few moments. I have been caring for Pits only for a few years, spent about year researching and gathering info. However all the folks I have come across that are breeders are definatley not like the Ball Python groups I have seen sharing information. I will be breeding some in the very near future, currently my total is 10 Pits and growing. Hope to make some real beauties!
PS: Pituophisart nice collection!! Your animals are stunners!!
Welcome to the community! I can’t wait to see pictures of your snakes.
Here’s a pic of the sonoran gopher snake they had at the rescue I used to volunteer at wrapped around my hand. Sorry that you can’t really see his face.
I completely forgot about this? I cleaned everyone on Friday and fed them all yesterday? So it will be a few more days before I can get some fresh pics. I am not much into the phone pics, having my face buried in my phone so I have to think about taking pics. I also live by myself and can be tough getting good pics as I have tried before. Here is a small clip I tried to take of one of my girls just before Christmas.
Well I guess that isnt going to work, trying to load from Iphone to Windows? Lol
I’m a big fan of gopher snakes, though I’ve never kept them. Seen a bunch in the wild, though. They’re pretty common around here. When I worked at an equestrian property, I was often called on to remove snakes and tarantulas that wandered into the path of humans and horses (I didn’t want people freaking out and trying to kill them). I captured and relocated quite a few gopher snakes, and they were usually quite docile and cooperative, not to mention gorgeous! The gophers and Cali Kings hardly gave me any attitude …the tiny garter snakes, on the other hand, were little spitfires!
Gorgeous snake pictures here!
Awsome, if you don’t mind me asking where are you from?
Santa Barbara, CA.
Fortunately most of our native snake species are pretty harmless, with the exception of a few species of rattlesnakes. There was only ever one rattlesnake spotted on the property while I worked there, and we called in a professional to relocate her (I love rattlers, but I don’t have any experience handling venomous snakes and I don’t have a death wish). There was a little night snake who found its way into a tack room once, but they’re rear-fanged and very docile, so I didn’t have a problem moving that one. It was actually quite a treat, because I don’t see them very often and they’re beautiful little snakes.
Santa barbaaaaaa?! Im from East LA and in my hiking trails and see only a handful of gophers but plenty rosys and cali kings
I’ve never seen a rosey around here, but see gophers and kings all the time!
One pic of one my girls Trumbower Hypo, 100% whitesided, poss Axanthic, poss patternless and poss albino
Yeah they are out more in riverside I once took a herping trip and found one.
I have a female pure northern albino pine that personally I’m either trying to sell or find a mate for. I don’t like many colubrids and I got it in a trade 8 or so years ago. I understand the rarity of mine because most albino northerns on the market these days are crossed with southerns.
It’s the least favorite in my collection. But to answer the threads question, yes I keep one very reluctantly. I’m just not willing to give it to some hot shot that isn’t going to help bring back pure albino northerns.
