As I now have the first clutches of 2022 in the incubator , what better time to look back at some 2021 highlights.
Approaching the yearling mark the colour palettes get brighter/intensify with every slough.
Pituophis catenifer annectens
Lavender Albino (hi red genetics) x Green Snow.
This is a unique phenotype and the first of a kind , the % of red is the highest to date and lavender/purple vividly contrasts against the white.

Interesting reduction in pattern , unique base colour with a faint stripe along the spine. I predict the mature colour will be outstanding.
TRUE Superhypo , MY original phenotype reanimated , direct descendant from the founding one of a kind female.
NOT an amel or albino of any form , these have Jet Black neck markings AND Black tongues.

Oh wow, those are some truly stunning snakes you’ve got there! 
Those colours almost seem unreal. I love them all, but I think the superhypos are my favourites. I love all the different colours they show. Really, really beautiful.

Thank you my friend , that’s the same snake but shot in different light settings.
These tend to start out pinkish with white , like regular snows, but from a clutch of 12 only a couple have this white on white appearance .
Here’s is the Father , he is the first one of a kind (F1) with this odd scalation, I also have a 2021 hatchling from the same lineage but these are the first (het?) sired by the F1 male.

As this 2020 hatch annectens matures the colours just keep on getting sweeter , the orange is intensifying and what about that neck colour !

I’m very pleased with the outcome of my first two annectens clutches.
As for deppei jani ,I only aimed for one clutch this season (I like to give females a year off if necessary) this was sired by my one of a kind hypo male (pics posted prev. in this thread) and he is the only known jani morph to my knowledge.
All 11 fertile eggs hatched successfully ,no egg cutting involved and the offspring are all nice and healthy looking.
The 10th to hatch has an interesting appearance

Sometimes the unexpected can turn into a pleasant surprise.
Last season ,from the same pairing I hatched an amazing albino hi red with the highest % of red to date and was sorta hoping for another this season.
However its seems the odds gods had other plans and I for one am not complaining !
