Whoops! Guess I've started my 2026 season

It’ll have some time to wait, but I do have a 55gal tank that I could convert and that sounds like fun!

Well, Itt is now back to a reasonable size.

I think you should go for it Elijah! You would be keeping something rather unique. There are not many people here who even own garter snakes!

Look at Itt, so slim and svelte! I wish we humans could snap back to our prenatal size so effectively.

Super cool that your little ones are eating! Sounds like things are going really well. And oh my gosh, just way too much fun!

Question: how do you go about seeing these teensy creatures?

Just gotta stick to only one big mouse per week, and the pounds will just melt away!

Tiny ones are in a critter keeper, generally they all like to stay under the hide I have in there.

I love them. It’s cool that you got the expected statistical ratio, if you’d known dad was het.

They are so pretty! Are you going to keep most of them and just hang onto a few?

I might keep a 1.1 pair so I can split Itt and Thing up again. I don’t necessarily want them paired year round but I also don’t want to just have them solo.

I was just wondering because it would be really difficult to part with any of them they are so cute! I’m trying my hand at breeding Leo’s (geckos) and I’m not sure I will even let them any of them go!. That is if I am successful! Which so far is not happening! :joy:

That’s always the hard part of breeding, and why I had to not breed corn snakes this year. Too many I couldn’t let go from previous years.

Yup! My plan for the gecks is to incubate for females. That way I can keep a couple together as long as there’s no “disturbance” in the force! :grinning::grinning::grinning:

You should absolutely post a cuteness warning with those “handful of adorableness” pics. I squealed out loud when I saw them. I was squealing in delight, but the folks at PT thought I’d hurt myself!    :joy:

I certainly feel that pain! Ask me how many 2024s I still have…

Warning for later, I will be posting temporary baby enclosure photos, and they’re using their plastic plant as a place to hang out, so it looks like a bush full of babies.

I can only imagine. I still have all 25 of mine from last year. Haven’t even listed those yet, and that’s just last year. I’ve still got the majority of my 23s & 24s, too.

Too bad it’s not Christmas. You could give them a little Christmas tree and let them decorate it with their living art!

I mean… Why wait for Christmas? Lol.
We have a little fake tree in my house that gets decorated every month or so for the big holidays or rememberances. Hahah.

I would take the Garter Snake Tree any month. Lol

How true! My doc’s office people keep a tree in the office year round and decorated for whatever season we are in!

Picture of the garter “tree”.
