Reptilinks have a frog leg formula, right? That would probably be the one to try for garters. But would still have to chop them up so small for them for a bit.

Yep they have a frog link as well as frog juice. The links are a bit mushy anyway……

They actually suggest their bayou-blend for garters as well (it’s a combo of frog, insects, and crayfish) but you could probably use any of the links. With the micro & mini they could be chopped up, but realistically you could just buy cased links and squeeze out the contents as well.

Gonna try to re-weigh them all tomorrow since they’re a week old today and have had two meals. While I’m not 100% sure they’re all eating, most of them look to have. There are only a couple that look a bit smaller than the rest. Some of these I swear have almost doubled in size.

I just want to know how you can tell if each individual has eaten since they’re all together. Are their bellies noticeably full when eating cut-up pinkies?

I can’t 100% tell, but most of them have been eating enough that it’s pretty clear they’ve fed. Also the amels change color if they eat enough due to the darker color of the chopped pinkies.
I did just weigh everyone for the second time, and no one has lost weight! I will be keeping an eye on the amels as they’ve gained less weight than the wild types. I’m actually considering splitting them into separate enclosures by morph just due to that fact. Smallest ones are now 1.8g, largest of the lot is 2.6g. I don’t want the size gap to start causing problems.

Random find while weighing the adults, seems Itt actually had 12 babies. 11 live, what I’m guessing was one stillborn. Found it dried up and blending in with a piece of cork bark. It was a wild type, so she had an even 50/50 split clutch.

Awwwww that’s so sad. I’m sorry it didn’t get its fair chance at life but at least it’s not suffering anymore…..

I have now officially seen with my eyes every single baby eat at least one piece of food. Most are willing to take pinky pieces off of tongs. Full bellies, happy babies. I also switched them to paper towels until they’re a bit bigger, as they kept dragging food through the sphagnum and little pieces were getting ingested. I do not want any impaction/blockage issues.

So cute! Are you trying to keep track of them individually at all? I was thinking how headstamps are fairly unique in most corn clutches, but these guys are very similar to each other!
